Refund Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
1. Summary
Fundgeek is a subscription service operated by FAMIGLIA EIGHT LTD (Cyprus). Payments are processed by our authorised reseller Paddle.com Market Limited (or the relevant regional Paddle entity), which sells the subscription to you as merchant of record. Your purchase is therefore also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy. This policy explains when we (and Paddle, on our behalf) refund a payment, and applies alongside your statutory rights under EU consumer law and Cypriot Law 133(I)/2013 on Consumer Rights.
2. 14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase, without giving any reason.
Important: Fundgeek is digital content and an online service supplied immediately upon purchase. When you subscribe, you expressly consent to us starting the service immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (Art. 16(a) and 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). If the service has only been partly performed, you are liable for a pro-rata amount for what you used.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, email billing@fundgeek.eu within 14 days of your purchase with your account email and order/transaction ID. You may use the model withdrawal form in Annex I of Directive 2011/83/EU.
3. Discretionary refunds
Outside the statutory window we may still grant a full or partial refund if:
- You were charged in error or double-charged.
- A technical fault on our side prevented you from using the paid features for a material period.
- You cancelled but were still billed for the following period.
Refunds outside these cases are at our discretion. Simply not using the service is not itself a ground for a refund.
4. Cancellations and auto-renewal
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or, per the Paddle Buyer Terms (section 6), through the Paddle Buyer Portal linked in your subscription confirmation email, or by submitting a cancellation request at paddle.net. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep access to paid features until that date and will not be charged again after it. Consistent with the Paddle Buyer Terms, we do not issue partial refunds for the unused portion of a period, except where required by law.
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle may retry the charge. If it cannot be collected, your subscription may be cancelled automatically; you remain liable for any Charges properly due up to that date.
4a. Sales tax / VAT refunds (Businesses)
Where Paddle has charged sales tax, VAT, GST or a similar consumption tax on your Transaction and you are a business registered for that tax in the country of purchase, you may be entitled to a refund of the tax amount if permitted by local law. Per the Paddle Buyer Terms (section 7), you must contact Paddle within 60 days of the Transaction date and provide a valid tax code (or, where applicable, a tax-exempt certificate). Requests received after 60 days may be declined unless otherwise required by law.
5. Free tier and trials
The Free tier is not a paid product and is not eligible for refunds. If we offer a paid trial that automatically converts, we will disclose the conversion terms clearly at checkout, as required by Art. 8 of Directive 2011/83/EU.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are issued via our payment provider Paddle to the original payment method, in the currency of the original charge. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your bank. VAT collected is refunded proportionally.
7. Chargebacks
In line with section 4 of the Paddle Buyer Terms, we encourage you to contact us at billing@fundgeek.eu (or Paddle directly at help@paddle.com) before disputing a Charge with your bank or card issuer — this usually resolves the issue faster than a chargeback. If Paddle or we reasonably believe a chargeback constitutes fraud or abuse of payment-protection mechanisms (including claiming non-delivery of features you have used), access to paid features may be suspended pending investigation and blocked if fraud or abuse is confirmed.
8. How to request a refund
Email billing@fundgeek.eu from the address on the account, including the transaction ID from your Paddle receipt. You can also submit a refund or cancellation request directly to Paddle at paddle.net. We aim to reply within 3 business days and to complete decisions within 14 days. Approved refunds are paid by Paddle to your original payment method in the original currency.
9. Dispute resolution
If you are not satisfied with our decision, EU consumers can use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus; the courts of Nicosia have jurisdiction, without prejudice to (i) the mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence and (ii) the Paddle Buyer Terms, which are governed by English law and apply to your relationship with Paddle as merchant of record.
